Famous people with Behavior Disorders

Through out the years of televisions and film there are many different actor and actress that play many different roles its funny how these actors get by and function when they have a disability that they are battling with off the set.  Some of the most famous people suffer from behavior disorders like Jim Carry and Drew Carry they have battled their whole life trying to fight their disorder.  This is a great example to show you that people with disabilities can overcome their disorders become successful.

Behavior Disorders

When I got to Western Illinois I was set on becoming a Special Education teacher I just didn't know what subject you what kind of students I wanted to teach until I till I took a course called Special Education 300. In this class we went indepth about students with Emotional and Behavioral disorders and from then on I knew this was the type of disability I wanted to work with. I feel that these students aren't always given a fair opportunity to succeed because they are those who act out in class and I think that they deserve a fair shot just lover everyone else. I will continue to take as many classes as I can about Emotional and Behavior Disorders so that I will be able to work with these students in future.

How I got into Special Education

When I was a freshman in high school my mom came to me a few weeks before school was going to begin and she said to me, would you mind if I would at your high school full time. At first I was not happy with the decision that she made but little did I know it was going to change my entire outlook on life. Seeing my mom in the hallways at first was embarassing and it eventually got better and towards the end of of my freshman year it was no big deal at all. On day after school when I got home my mom asked me if I could give her a hand in her Special Education classroom during my lunch period she had a lot of extra work to do and she needed some extra help. I was not very excited about leaving my only free time to go help in her classroom. Once I got there everything changed for me all of the kids really reacted well to me and I really enjoyed being there. From then on I went to her class once a week during lunch just to give my mom and hand. This experience got me to where I am today if it wasn't for all of this I would never be a Special Education Major.
